The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) are the capstones of Jesus Christ’s earthly teaching ministry. Together these two Scripture passages give us the primary purposes our church is tasked to accomplish until Jesus returns. We intentionally focus on fulfilling Christ’s commands and doing His will as reflected in the Great Commandment and Great Commission:

1. Worship. The church exists to worship.
2. Service. The church exists to minister to people.
3. Evangelism. The church exists to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.
4. Fellowship. The church exists to provide fellowship for believers.
5. Discipleship. The church exists to educate and edify God’s people.

    Stated simply, our mission in ministry is to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for the ministry in the church and life mission in the world in order to magnify God’s name.
    To accomplish this we endeavor to make every member a minister and every task a ministry. To demonstrate God’s love to the church, the community and the world each member must discover and use his or her spiritual gift. To these ends we focus all our ministry attention and energy.
