Welcome!

If you’re looking for a church home that will provide Biblical teaching, an atmosphere of worship, an openness to the Holy Spirit, and healthy uplifting friendships, then Bible Fellowship Baptist Church in Little River, SC is the place for you! Bible Fellowship Baptist is committed to aggressive outreach. We desire to see our community, state, nation, and world impacted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many ministries targeted to touch specific needs of your family and to assist you in spiritual growth. We invite you to take advantage of all the resources available to you at Bible Fellowship Baptist and on our Web site. Enjoy your visit and make sure to check out our ministry pages and upcoming events!

What to Wear

On Sundays, many people will dress in their "Sunday best" and others in less formal attire. Please wear what makes you comfortable. On Sunday and Wednesday evenings, we are less formal because – well – we are at the beach! In either case, modesty is our goal.

What to Bring

Bring a Bible and your entire family. (We teach and preach from the KJV Bible, but bring whatever Bible you own.)

What to Expect

As a visitor, you can expect a warm welcome, exciting praise and worship, and passionate preaching and teaching from God’s Word. Bible Fellowship Baptist’s worship services are carefully balanced with a blend of conservative, semi-contemporary songs and traditional hymns. Our typical service lasts 60 minutes. We begin with a call to worship through congregational singing and a focus on prayer. We welcome our guests and greet each other in love, enjoy special music and a pastor presents a 25-30 minute message from the Bible. We conclude each service with a time of prayer to respond to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit or to meet with a pastor or counselor. People receive Christ, are baptized, present themselves as candidates for membership and make important decisions for God during these times of invitation. We partake of the Lord’s Supper every first Sunday during our morning worship service and during special times of the year.
Our Sunday evening service is a time of family worship and teaching from the Scriptures. On Wednesdays our focus is upon prayer and discipleship.

What about My Children

On Sunday mornings, we provide childcare from birth to 2nd grade for our Sunday morning preaching service. We have nurseries, preschool classes and a childrens’ church special led by a team of volunteers.  On Sunday and Wednesday nights, childcare and children’s programs are provided from birth to 6th grade. During the evening preaching services the children are taught the Bible and given opportunities to play and interact with other boys and girls. Babies and toddlers are cared for in clean, well-staffed nursery rooms equipped with age-appropriate toys, rockers and cribs.

How to get Connected

There are two ways of getting connected at Bible Fellowship Baptist. The first way is to faithfully attend one of our many Sunday morning Adult Bible Fellowship small groups at 9.45am. In our small group Bible studies, you will meet people of similar interests and challenges. These small groups plan fellowships, activities, and other events both on and off campus. During these activities, you will have a better chance to get to know Christian brothers and sisters in a more personal way.
The second way is to come and be ministered to or begin serving the Lord through our numerous weekday service opportunities. The pastor or ministry director can put a volunteer to work. Members and potential members really get to know each other when they work together. Contact the pastor or call the church office to get more details about the prerequisites for different service opportunities.

Our Mission – (Why we exist as a Church).

Bible Fellowship Baptist Church exists to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.

This one sentence mission statement is based on two key Scriptures.

1. The Great Commandment – And Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord, thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Matthew 22:37-40).
2. The Great Commission – And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).

Together these two Scripture passages give us the primary mission our church is tasked to accomplish until Jesus returns. We intentionally focus on fulfilling Christ’s commands and doing His will as reflected in the Great Commandment and Great Commission: Worship, Ministering, Evangelism, Fellowship and Discipleship.

Our Philosophy of Ministry – (How we do Ministry).

The Great Commandment is the foundation of all we are and all we do in ministry! We are committed to Family and the Church and care deeply for people in our community and beyond.

To accomplish this mission we emphasize that every member is a minister and every task is a ministry. To demonstrate God’s love to the church, the community and the world each member must discover and use his or her spiritual gift. To these ends we focus all our ministry attention and energy.

Acts 26:16 is another primary verse delineating our philosophy of ministry:
But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose; to make you a minister and a witness both of the things you have seen and the things I will yet reveal unto you.

Our Philosophy of Evangelism – (How we do Out-Reach and Missions).

The Great Commission is the cornerstone of all our evangelism, out-reach and missions' programs. By fulfilling our mission, we become a strategic training center for the Gospel of Jesus Christ by making disciples who have a heart for God and a commitment to sharing the life-transforming gospel message to the lost.

Acts 5:42 was the Philosophy of Evangelism for the first century church. It is our model:
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

daily - A regular part of our lifestyle
in the temple – Corporate and public evangelism
and in every house – The first visitation program
they ceased not – They made continuous efforts
to teach – Teaching the Gospel with a view towards conversion
and preach – The pulpit was prominent in the evangelistic efforts
Jesus Christ. – He is the central figure in the Gospel.

Who Is Jesus Really?

The Answer

Jesus is God the Son. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried. The third day He arose again from the dead. Through faith in His name and His work on the cross we have the gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Do you know that your sins are forgiven and that you have eternal life? If you want to know, the Bible has the real answer to this question. It's a matter of F.A.I.T.H.

F
is for Forgiveness
Everyone has sinned and needs God’s forgiveness.
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
God’s forgiveness is available for all.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1:7

A
is for Available
God’s forgiveness is available for all.
“God so loved the world in this way: He gave His one and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
God’s forgives is available but not automatic.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 7:21

I
is for Impossible
According to the Bible, it is impossible to get to heaven
on our own.
“By grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift-not from works, so that no on can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

So how can a sinful person have eternal life and enter heaven?

T
is for Turn
Turn means repent and change direction.
Turn away from sin and self.
“Unless you repent, you will all perish as well!” Luke 13:3
Turn to Jesus alone as your Savior and Lord.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
Here is the greatest news of all.
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation.”

What happens if a person is willing to repent of their sins and confess Christ?

H
is for Heaven
Heaven is a place where we will live with God forever.
“If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.” John 14:3
Eternal life begins now with Jesus.
“I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance.” John 10:10

"H" can also stand for how.
How can a person have God’s forgiveness, eternal life, and heaven?
By trusting Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

Understanding this, would you like to receive this forgiveness by trusting in Christ as your personal Savior and Lord?

If so, then you can pray to Him today. Pray something like this…

"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sin, and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen."

If you have just now, by your prayer, believed that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again, and confessed Him as your Lord and Savior, please email me that I might rejoice with you and send you some additional information for Christian growth.
